GAINESVILLE, FL
– Hartwick College junior defensive end Joe Seney (Gloversville, NY/Broadalbin-Perth) was recognized on Thursday with the announcement of the 2012 Capital One Academic All-District Football Teams. The teams, which are selected by the College Sports Information Directors of America (CoSIDA), recognize the nation's top student-athletes for their combined performances athletically and in the classroom.

The Academic All-District teams are divided into eight geographic districts across the United States and Canada. They include NCAA Division I, NCAA Division II and NCAA Division III participants.

This season, Seney has played in all nine games for the Hawks and is the team's second leading tackler with 47. He leads 'Wick in tackles for loss (12.5) and is second in sacks (4.5).
