ROCHESTER, NY – The Hartwick women's volleyball team dropped its final conferences matches this season in an Empire 8 Crossover hosted by Nazareth on Saturday afternoon. Elmira took the first match against the Hawks, 3-0 while Nazareth took the second, 3-1. With the losses, 'Wick sees its season at 6-17 and finishes 1-7 in E8. Elmira elevates its season record to 5-12 (2-6 E8) and Nazareth improves to 20-8 (6-2 E8).
To Elmira, Hartwick fell by the set scores, 25-19, 25-23, 27-25. The Hawks were led by
Hannah Armstrong (Lansing, NY/Lansing) with nine kills and
Jamie Reidy (Elmira, NY/Horseheads) who led in two statistical categories, assists (19) and digs (18).
Against Nazareth, Hartwick fell by the set scores, 22-25, 25-18, 25-16, 25-16. Armstrong ended in the forefront for kills, again adding another nine.
Alyssa Zeitler (Chardon, OH/Berkshire) led in digs with a match-high 22.
Erin Russell (Wantagh, NY/Seaford) finished with 13 assists.
The Hawks will play its final game at Lambros Arena on October 26
th as they host Morrisville. First serve is set for 7 p.m.
