Recap: Hartwick's men's soccer team dropped a 3-0 decision to host Brockport on Wednesday night at Bob Boozer Field in Brockport, NY. The Golden Eagles, ranked seventh in the United Soccer Coaches East Region, increase their unbeaten streak to eight games with the result. The hosts capitalized on a miscue in the back in the 14
th minute as Ayub Jeylani intercepted a pass and put his team on the board for a 1-0 lead. The Hawks would end up keeping the Golden Eagles off the board for the rest of the half, and they were unlucky not to even the match in the 24
th minute as
Mikheil Legarde (Manila, Philippines/Hong Kong International School) worked around a couple of defenders at the top of the Brockport box and sent a low blast just wide of the far post. The Hawks' 1-0 deficit held up until the 66
th minute when Quintin Volpe drove a free kick to the side netting inside 'Wick's far post for a 2-0 lead. The Golden Eagles got their third goal in the 69
th minute as Matthew Stefaniw tallied from Matt Oliveira after a scramble. All 11 Hawks would play the full 90 minutes on the night. Legarde had two of the Hawks' five shots.
Troy Amegashie (Accra, Ghana/Tema International School),
Callum Scott (Otego, NY/Unatego Central), and
Jimmy Noel (Cap Haitian, Haiti/Baldwin) had the others.
Aidan Wholihan (Annapolis, MD/St. Mary's Annapolis) stopped six shots in the match in goal.

John Scott Quotes: "The reality of the season continues to stare us straight in the face, but the guys are showing strong character to keep going. Brockport is a very good team and they deserved the 3-0 victory tonight. With that said, the goals were preventable and to be learned from. Going forward, we had a couple half chances with a shot that went narrowly wide, and a header from a corner that we didn't quite get a clean enough connection from close range. In terms of what we gave up in the game versus what we could've had ourselves, our glass remains half full. We have a long trip to Marymount on Saturday where we'll be attempting to fill our glass by giving our best effort."
