Recap: Hartwick trimmed a three-goal second half advantage to two, but a pair of goals 1:22 apart in the final eight minutes provided the final 5-1 score line on Friday night to Bryant & Stratton. The game was the final one on Elmore Field for the Hawks, who will play their final three matches of 2018 on the road. The Hawks held off the Bobcats for over 30 minutes of action to begin the game. BSC finally broke through on a passing play that was finished off in front by Uros Momic at 31:21. They added to their lead at the 40:11 mark as Delano Hodge would find the net. Devonta Duncan (Bronx, NY/Arlington) and Mikheil Legarde (Manila, Philippines/Hong Kong International School) both had opportunities for the Hawks in the half. Romaine Williamson made the Hartwick deficit three with a blast at 65:25. The Hawks, however, got right back into the game as a free kick from Jimmy Noel (Cap Haitian, Haiti/Baldwin) deep into the Bobcat box was bobbled by goalkeeper Julien Guesnet. Martins Odiaka (Asaba, Nigeria/The International Sports Academy) was on the doorstep to head home and make it a 3-1 game. It remained 3-1 until the 82:01 mark when Alex Pompo headed in. Chandly Elie finished off the scoring just over a minute later. Aidan Wholihan (Annapolis, MD/St. Mary's Annapolis) made 10 saves in 90 minutes of work for the Hawks in goal. Guesnet made one save for the Bobcats. The two teams meet again in eight days in Syracuse.

John Scott Quotes: "Despite being on the end of a 5-1 defeat against a team with scholarship players, it didn't have that feel to it at all. We fought hard and we played well, and I was proud of the effort tonight. While Bryant & Stratton dominated possession, they found us to be a hard nut to crack. It was 2-0 at half time, but with a little more from our attacks we felt that we could have found the back of the net. In the second half, we scored through a Martins Odiaka header that made the game 3-1 at the time. The goals we conceded late were from tiredness and not through a lack of endeavor. Tonight was as confident as I've seen us. From the outside looking in it's another defeat, but from our point of view we did very well tonight with many solid performances on show."

Up Next: The Hawks travel to nationally eighth ranked Cortland on Tuesday, October 23 beginning at 7:30 p.m.
