Recap: In a tight match with only two points separating the two teams at the end of each of the first four sets, Keuka battled back late in the fourth and pulled out a victory in the fifth over Hartwick on Friday at the Keuka College Invitational. After falling in the opening set 30-28, the Hawks won the next two, 25-23. In the fourth, Hartwick held a 24-21 edge and was just a point from the match, but the Wolves responded with five straight points to draw even. The hosts got out to a big lead in the fifth and deciding set before prevailing 15-10.
Maria Sorriento (Troy, NY/Troy) and
Myla Dobson (Burnt Hills, NY/Burnt Hills-Ballston Lake) combined for 31 kills for the Hawks in the match. Sorriento registered 18 with Dobson adding 13.
Jamie Reidy (Elmira, NY/Horseheads) had 37 assists in the contest to go along with nine digs.
Andrea Debboli (Troy, NY/Averill Park) recorded a team-best 13 digs.
Katie Boak (Liverpool, NY/Liverpool) and
Kiera Walsh (Burnt Hills, NY/Burnt Hills-Ballston Lake) each contributed 12 and
Kaitlyn Ludder (West Sand Lake, NY/Averill Park) had nine.
