Hawks Fall 2-0 in Non-Conference Action vs Skidmore

SARATOGA SPRINGS, N.Y. – The Hawks dropped a non-conference decision on Wednesday night, falling to the Skidmore College Thoroughbreds 2-0.

WHAT YOU NEED TO KNOW
 
  • Skidmore put offensive pressure on the Hawks from the beginning, getting off 10 shots in the first half.
  • The Thoroughbreds were able to cash in during the 9th minute of action.
  • Despite keeping the pressure on the Hawks, Skidmore did not score again until the 41st minute.
  • Down 2-0 entering the second half, the Hawks' offense was stifled by the host team as they were only able to get off one shot.
  • In turn, the Thoroughbreds put up 17 shots, nine of which were on goal in the second half.
  • However, Sara Staup (Woodinville, Wash.) kept Skidmore off the board, stopping all nine shots.
  • The senior goalie recorded 11 saves overall in the contest.
