Oneonta, N.Y. – The Hartwick Men's Swim and Dive Team hosted their annual Hartwick Relays and were victorious in their season opener.

The Hawks started their morning off right with Jack Armstrong(Windham, N.H.) taking first place in one meter diving and three meter diving with scores of 270.35 and 235.85 respectively.

Continuing their day, Eamon Griffin(Amherst, N.H.), Evan Nezat(Jacksonville, N.C.), Mikey Schultz(Binghamton, N.Y.) and Bryce Rogers(Fulton, N.Y.) took the 400 yard medley with a time of 3:36.26 in the first event of the afternoon.

Schultz, Mahdi Behniaye(Hannibal, Mo.), and Boden Tito(Southington, Conn.) placed first in the 3x100 Butterfly relay with a finish of 2:46.61. The trio followed up with another first place in 3x200 yard medley 3x200 IM relay in a time of 6:17.36.

The 400 yard freestyle relay also went to Hartwick as Hassan Abdelwahed(New Hartford, N.Y.), Griffin,Behniaye and Rogers finished with a time of 3:21.06.

The squad capped off their day with a second place finish by just one second in the 800 yard medley relay by the grouping of Owen James(St. Lutz, Fla.), Griffin, Schultz and Nick Tirrell(Turner, Me.).

Hartwick finished with 104 points on the day earning them first place out of six.

Along with Hartwick was Brandeis, SUNY Oneonta, SUNY Delhi, The College of Saint Rose and Union College.
