Men's Swim and Dive Defeat Oneonta At Home

 

Oneonta, N.Y. – The Hartwick Men's Swim and Dive Team squared up against SUNY Oneonta for a dual meet and came away with the victory.

 

 WHAT YOU NEED TO KNOW

  • Owen James (St. Lutz, Fla.), Hassan Abdelwahed (New Hartford, N.Y.), Mikey Schultz (Binghamton, N.Y) and Nick Tirrell (Turner, Me.) took first place in the 400 yard medley relay with a time of 3:40 in the first event for Hartwick.

  • Cameron Drake (El Cajon, Cal.) finished in first place in the 1000 yard freestyle, completing the race in 10:24.

  • Abdelwahed completed the 100 yard breaststroke with a time of 59.77 and the 200 yard breaststroke at 2:16 for two first place finishes.

  • Schultz grabbed first place in the 100 yard and 200 yard butterfly, clocking in at  52.71 and 1:56 respectively. Schultz capped his day off with a win in the 400 yard IM with a time of 4:22.

  • Jack Armstrong (Windham, NH) put on a performance finishing with 293 points in one meter diving and subsequently scoring 238 in three meter.

  • Drake also took first place in the 500 yard freestyle, finishing at a time of 5:02

  • Hartwick defeated the Red Dragons 183-101.

 

UP NEXT FOR THE HAWKS

The Hawks will host Stevens and the University of Scranton in  a Tri-Meet on November 18th, beginning with diving at 9 AM followed by swimming events at 1 PM.
