Men's Basketball Fall to Oneonta in "Battle of the Hills"


Oneonta, N.Y. – The Hartwick Men's Basketball Team headed to SUNY Oneonta for their annual Battle of the Hills matchup.

 

THE BASICS

  • Final Score: Hartwick 53 SUNY Oneonta 91

  • Location:  Oneonta, N.Y.

  • Records: Hartwick (0-1, 0-0 Empire 8), SUNY Oneonta (1-0, 0-0 SUNYAC)

 

WHAT YOU NEED TO KNOW

  • The game started with Oneonta starting off with a 10-2 run. After settling in, the Hawks answered with 10 straight points to grab the lead.

  • The teams exchanged buckets back and forth before a Red Dragon timeout.

  • Oneonta would control the rest of the half as the first half ended 44-21. 

  • Hartwick posted 32 points on 50% shooting in the second half as they would fall to Oneonta.

  • Jaden Carter (Scotch Plains, N.J) and Jeremiah Boateng (Springfield, Va.) led the scoring with seven points.

  • Tarrell Cumberbatch (Brooklyn, N.Y.) grabbed ten rebounds as well as five points on the day.
