ALFRED, N.Y. – The Hawks traded goals early in the 1
st quarter with Alfred University on Saturday afternoon, but hit their stride to soar over the Saxons 22-6.

- Katrina Marten (Middlesex, N.Y.) hit another milestone in her career this afternoon.
- One game after breaking Hartwick's record for assists in a season, the sophomore reached the century mark in career points.
- Marten scored the opening goal of the contest to set the tone for the Hawks.
- The two squads traded goals with the Saxons tying the Hawks at the 11:02 mark in the 1st.
- Back-to-back goals by Claudia Pollaro (Queensbury, N.Y.), started a string of five unanswered to give Hartwick a lift.
- Alfred cut into Hartwick's lead scoring at the 12:15 and 11:11 marks in the 2nd.
- Kristen Vaccarelli (Dix Hills, N.Y.) stopped the run at the 9:35 mark off of a feed from Mackenzie Dahl (Malta, N.Y.).
- The Saxons looked to cut into Hartwick's lead twice in the second half, but the Hawks would shut it down, scoring six-straight following each Saxon goal.
- Marten and Vaccarelli led the way for Hartwick, totaling 10 points each. Marten scored six and posted four assists, while Vaccarelli scored seven and assisted on three Hawk tallies.
- Pollaro added five goals and an assist to the offensive onslaught.
- Ellie Masterpole (Syracuse, N.Y.), Elle Stringer (Rensselaer, N.Y.), and Emily Madigan (Syracuse, N.Y.) each scored at least one goal in the contest.
- While the Hawks dominated offensively, the were just as dominant defensively, causing 24 turnovers and picking up 25 ground balls.
- Regan Kelly (Warwick, N.Y.) set the tone, causing three turnovers and picking up four ground balls.
- Maddi Morrison (Burnt Hills, N.Y.) picked up the win in goal, recording three saves.
