ONEONTA, N.Y. – After picking up a big 3-0 win in their home opener last night, the Hawks wrapped up their weekend slate with another 3-0 win against SUNY Delhi on Saturday afternoon.

WHAT YOU NEED TO KNOW
 
  • Hartwick picked up right where they left off last night, picking up five points on aces in the first set.
  • Staecia Silofau (Kapolei, Hawaii) drove the offense in the 25-16 first set, converting six kills on 10 attempts.
  • Up one set, Hartwick looked to their bench to keep things rolling in the second.
  • Despite playing from behind for most of the set, the Hawks rallied back behind two aces from Mary Kinnane (Rockaway Beach, N.Y.), and four-kill performances by Shaelyn Thornton (Scarborough, Me.) and Niah Reeves (Binghamton, N.Y.).
  • The Hawks continued to gain contributions from their bench in the third set.
  • Sophia Palladino (Owego, N.Y.) picked up two crucial kills in the set, while Isabella Gracias (Owego, N.Y.) tacked on one dominant strike from the middle.
  • Vanessa Seymour (Hopewell Junction, N.Y.) and Ellie Kalbach (Spring City, Pa.) combined for 30 assists, splitting setting duties across the match.
  • Silofau ended her day with 16 kills.
  • Sarah Petz (Webster, N.Y.) ended with a team-high 11 digs in just two sets.
