WHAT YOU NEED TO KNOW
- Nichols came out firing on all cylinders, scoring 21 points in the first quarter.
- The Hawks were able to cut into the lead early in the second quarter, as Ransom Turner-Rush (Harrisburg, Pa.) converted a 33-yard field goal to cap off an 11-play, 41-yard drive.
- Unfortunately, the rest of the game belonged to the Bisons, who scored 31 unanswered from the rest of the second quarter through the fourth quarter.
- The quarterback tandem of Dennis Riordan (New City, N.Y.) and James Sobol (Old Forge, Pa.) combined for 193 yards through the air, 85 of which went to receiver, Nate Rath (Newport, N.Y.).
- Defensively, Tomas Struck (Garrison, N.Y.) led the team with one solo tackle and seven assisted tackles. Randall Dennis (Miami, Fla.) was responsible for the only Hartwick caused turnover with an interception at the end of the second quarter.
