The Hawks started with high intensity, jumping out to an 11-0 run with Daniella DeBiase (Staten Island, N.Y.) leading the charge with seven points.

Hartwick's defense smothered the Golden Flyers, holding the Nazareth offense to four points on 2-15 shooting.

DeBiase ended the first quarter on an exclamation point, hitting a deep contested three-pointer at the buzzer for ten points on 4-4 shooting.The opening quarter came to a close with the Hawks up 18-4.

Nazareth began to pick up the pace of the game, going on a run that would give them the lead before the end of the half.

The Hawks looked for a way to get the lead back, Angelina Maselli (Burlington, Conn.) hit a jumper to get the quarter started but foul trouble made it difficult to gain momentum as the third quarter ended with Hartwick trailing.

With the fourth quarter underway, the Hawks showed life but unfortunately ran out of time. DeBiase was the leading scorer with 14 points, Bree Fargnoli (Binghamton, N.Y.) was second with eight points and five rebounds.
