ROCHESTER, N.Y. – The Hartwick Women's Basketball team hit the road once again to play conference leader St. John Fisher to complete their three game conference road stretch.

The first five minutes of the game were tightly contested as the teams traded buckets back and forth trying to gain an edge over one another.

Angelina Maselli (Burlington, Conn.) found Isabella Astorino (Warwick, N.Y.) down low in the post to tie the game at 13 with under a minute left in the first.

The second quarter would put the Hawks in foul trouble and allowed the Cardinals some breathing room. Caitie Unger (Warwick, N.Y.) led the Hawks in scoring as the half ended 36-22.

With the second half underway, Fisher remained in control as they extended their lead. The opposition held the lead to the end of the game as the Hawks would fall to the Empire 8 leaders.

Astorino led the team in scoring with 12 points and also had eight rebounds.

Hartwick will stay on the road, heading to SUNY Morrisville for a non-conference matchup against the Mustangs on Tuesday, January 30th at 5:30 PM.
