ALFRED, N.Y. – The Hartwick Women's Swim and Dive hit the road to Alfred University for a dual meet against Alfred State College.

Hartwick got their evening started by placing second in the 200 yard medley relay, Bree Dy (Matawan, NJ), Min-Syun Chen (Saratoga Springs, N.Y.), Courtney Pierce (Fulton, N.Y.) and Amanda Wilbur (Watkins Glen, N.Y.) combined for a time of one minute and 57 seconds.

Cate Russo (San Pedro, Cal) placed second in the 1000 yard freestyle, finishing her race in eleven minutes and twenty eight seconds.

Ellie Baird (Wilton, N.Y.) placed first in the 200 yard freestyle relay, clocking in at two minutes and seven seconds.

Chen took first place in the 100 yard breaststroke in a time of one minute and nine seconds. Min-Syun then followed up by taking the 200 yard breaststroke as well, timing in at two minutes and thirty three seconds.

After Alfred State placed at the top in a couple events, Wilbur finished first in the 100 yard butterfly, completing the race in one minute and six seconds to give the Hawks some momentum.

The 200 yard freestyle relay was the last event of the evening, Meghan Geczy (Queensbury, N.Y.), Baird, Russo and Dy clocked in at one minute and forty seven seconds as they were unfortunately defeated by the Pioneers 143-116.
