ONEONTA, N.Y. – Hartwick College's Athletic Department is pleased to announce the launch of the Talon Trust.

The Talon Trust is the reimagined and revitalized version of the former 'Wick Athletic Association fundraising initiative. This new effort aims to provide additional resources to the Athletic Department to enhance the student-athlete experience. By joining the Talon Trust, you can contribute directly to the program of your choice or to the general athletic fund, helping to make a meaningful impact for more than 400 Hartwick student-athletes.

"The launch of the Talon Trust marks a transformative moment for Hartwick College athletics," stated James Kellerhouse, vice president for institutional advancement and external affairs. "This initiative is our commitment to excellence on and off the field, ensuring our student-athletes have the resources and support they need to thrive. Through the generosity of our community, we will strengthen the legacy of Hartwick athletics for generations to come."

Gifts of $25 or more support our student-athletes by providing an extra investment to help differentiate ourselves from our peer institutions and elevate the student-athlete experience beyond our operating budget. Your gift is a direct investment in health and welfare, facilities, recruitment and retention, and building upon the incredible legacy of Hartwick College and 'Wick Athletics.

In addition to the Talon Trust, the department has also developed the S.O.A.R. Society.  A division of the Talon Trust, the S.O.A.R. Society will build the foundation of the endeavor. Gifts of $5,000 or more as a one-time contribution or broken up over two years will create unique opportunities for friends and alumni to be recognized as leaders in the successful launch of the Talon Trust. Members of the S.O.A.R. Society will receive a Nike bomber jacket with the Talon Trust logo, recognition on the Talon Trust website, recognition on a special plaque located in the Binder gymnasium foyer, and the full complement of benefits for joining the highest level of the Talon Trust.

As a special bonus, individuals who join the Talon Trust by January 15, 2025, will receive a 20% off promo code for our BSN Sideline Store that can be used between January 2, 2025 and January 31, 2025.
