Seitzinger, August Earn Hawk of the Week Honors

ONEONTA, N.Y. – Alicea Seitzinger (Bridgeton, N.J.) and Colin August (Garrison, N.Y.) have been named Hawks of the Week following standout performances this past week. Seitzinger and August each earn their first weekly honors of the season.

Seitzinger was stellar in her collegiate debut, going 5-for-8 with three RBI's and three runs scored in a doubleheader split against the Delhi Broncos. The first-year outfielder posted a scorching .625 batting average and a 1.250 OPS across the two contests. She opened her collegiate career with a 2-for-4 performance in game one before following up with three hits in game two, driving in a run and scoring once while accounting for 33% of the Hawks' offense in the victory.

Seitzinger and the Hawks will compete in the Spring Games Tournament in Florida, playing eight games from Monday, March 16 through Friday, March 20.

August was the driving force of the Hartwick attack this week, totaling nine points on eight goals and one assist against strong SUNYAC competition. He opened the week with a statement performance in the Battle of the Hills against the Oneonta Red Dragons, erupting for five goals and one assist while adding three ground balls. The performance marked August's 100th career goal and moved him into ninth place on the program's all-time scoring list with 103 career goals.

The standout attackman remained hot in frigid conditions at Potsdam, scoring three goals on 50% shooting to record his fourth hat trick in five games. August currently ranks second in the Empire 8 and 12th in NCAA Division III with 4.5 goals per game.

August and the Hawks will now turn their attention to Empire 8 play, opening conference action at SUNY Geneseo with a 1 p.m. faceoff on Saturday, March 21.
