ONEONTA, N.Y. – Hartwick College Head Men's Soccer Coach, John Scott recently announced the hiring of Ryan Hilty as the program's next Assistant Coach.
 
Hilty comes to Hartwick after a two-year assistant coaching stint at Wilkes University.  As an assistant, he collaborated on the daily operational tasks of the program including recruiting prospective student-athletes on a national level, preparing and analyzing game film, and organizing team travel.  Hilty also served as a youth head coach in the Nitro Soccer Club organization in the Wyoming Valley and Scranton area of Pennsylvania.
 
"First, I'd like to thank former Associate Head Coach, Brandon Raynor for the six years of exceptional service to our program," said Scott.  "We wish Coach Raynor the best of luck with his head coaching career, as he helms the program at King's College, his alma mater."
 
"I'm delighted to welcome Ryan Hilty to Hartwick Men's Soccer as our incoming assistant coach," continued Scott. "Coach Hilty joins Hartwick with a solid NCAA DIII background.  During his two years at Wilkes he has been fully immersed in all facets of the assistant coach's role while completing his Master's Degree.  I have been very impressed with Coach Hilty during this transitional phase and I now look forward to working shoulder to shoulder with him as the fall season approaches."
 
Prior to his coaching career, Hilty was a four-year member of the Allegheny College Gators men's soccer team.
 
"I am excited to be a part of a program that is enriched with soccer history," began Hilty.  "I felt like it was the best place for me to continue my career in college athletics with the opportunity to develop my coaching skills. I am looking forward to learning and working with John Scott, the athletics staff, and the current / former / future players of the Hartwick Men's Soccer Program."
 
Hilty holds a Bachelors of Science in Computer Science with an Economics minor from Allegheny as well as a Masters of Business Administration from Wilkes.  He also received his United Soccer Coaches National Diploma in July of 2023.
