Bazemore & Jones-Mckinney Earn USTFCCA All-Region Honors

ONEONTA, N.Y. - Cody Bazemore (Bel Air, Md.) and Marquis Jones-Mckinney earned 2026 United States Track and Field Cross Country Coaches Association (USTFCCCA) Men's Indoor Track and Field All-Region honors.

To earn All-Region honors, an athlete must be one of the top-5 individuals in their event in their respective region on the TFRRS Descending Order List. In addition, each member of a region's top-3 relay team was selected for the distinction.

Standout Sophomore Cody Bazemore grabs his first pair of All-Region honors, earning the fifth best time in the region in the 60 meter event at 6.88 seconds. Bazemore also earned honors in the 200 meter event, tying for eighth in the Niagara region with a dashing mark of 22.22 seconds. Cody grabbed two silver medals at the Empire 8 Championships in the respective events, ending his indoor season with this prestigious honor.

Senior Marquis Jones-Mckinney enjoyed a stellar indoor season, earning his all-region nod in the high-jump event. A consistent threat in the event, placing first in two events this season, including besting Division I talent at Cornell, Jones-Mckinney's mark of 1.96 meters (6 feet, 5 inches) gave him the fourth best in the region.

"I'm so proud of these two young men and their unwavering commitment to excellence in our sport," said Head Coach Lindsey Kunkel. "Each year I've coached them, they've steadily and patiently developed in both their athleticism and their events. Marquis and Cody have what it takes to compete at the national level in Division III, and I have no doubt they will do just that this outdoor season. Beyond their performance, they've been outstanding leaders within our men's program, and I'm excited to see what else they accomplish here at Hartwick and beyond."

Bazemore, Jones-Mckinney will turn their attention to the outdoor season, preparing for the Utica Pioneer Spring Invitational, hosted by Utica University on Friday, April 3rd and Saturday, April 4th.
