Rood, a junior forward registered a goal and an assist in a 3-0 Hartwick win over Georgia Southern on Friday night in the Hawks’ Sun Belt Conference opener. Rood opened the scoring as he converted a penalty kick in the 21st minute to give ’Wick the lead for good. He later earned an assist in the 69th minute on the Hawks’ third and final goal. This season, Rood ranks second on the team in scoring with seven points on two goals and a team-best three assists.
