McKee, Evans Power 'Wick Past Harvard

ONEONTA, NY - Eleventh ranked Hartwick scored 10 goals in the first half of play en route to a 15-8 win in CWPA Northern Division water polo on Saturday night at Moyer Pool. The Hawks improved to 24-0 all-time against the Crimson.

Jessica McKee (Tustin, CA/Laguna Beach) and Christina Evans (Cedar Hills, UT/Lone Peak) combined for seven tallies on the night for the Hawks. McKee scored four, including three in the second quarter while Evans added three scores, all coming in the first half of play.

The Hawks led 5-4 after the first period of play, but stretched the margin to four after outscoring Harvard 5-2 in the second. 'Wick would also outscore the Crimson in each of the final two periods, 3-1 in the third, and 2-1 in the fourth for the win.

Kirsten Hudson (Wellington, New Zealand/Sacred Heart) and Allyssa Analytis (Montreal, Quebec/Sacred Heart) each scored twice for the Blue and White and Shannon Leonard (Pointe Clair, Quebec), Lisa Bass (Montreal, Quebec/Lindsay Place), Lily Martinez (Commerce, CA/Montebello), and Sasha Freeborn (Auckland, New Zealand/Westlake Girls) scored one goal apiece.

Goalie Jess Dorman (Auckland, New Zealand/Diocesan) stopped 19 shots in the game, two short of the College record.

Hartwick is back in action in its home finale on Wednesday against Marist at 7 p.m.
