ONEONTA, NY – Hartwick's men's tennis team rolled over Elmira on Sunday 9-0 to end the season 8-6 overall and 4-4 in conference play. The victory ensures the Hawks' first winning season since a 6-5 showing back in 1989.

Dumas defeated Matt Montgomery 6-2, 6-0 in the third flight to finish 9-5.
In second singles, Marcelo Navarro (San Juan, Puerto Rico/American Military) earned a 6-0, 6-3 win against Elmira's Ryan Patterson. Navarro ends the year 9-5 overall and 5-3 in conference matches.
Sean Barr (Scarsdale, NY/Edgemont), Matt Whitty (St. Catherines, Ontario/Ridley College), and Mike del Rosario (Troy, NY/Stamford) also capped the year with wins. Barr dropped just one game in a 6-1, 6-0 win in fourth singles to finish the year 8-6, Whitty was victorious 6-1, 6-1 in fifth singles, and del Rosario won 6-1, 6-3 in the sixth spot.
