ONEONTA, NY- The women's tennis teams hosted Empire 8 rival Stevens Tech on Sunday afternoon and were swept by the Ducks 9-0. Stevens improves its record to 7-0 overall and 4-0 in the Empire 8 while the Hawks fall to 2-5 overall and 1-4 in the Empire 8.
Stevens took all three of the doubles matches. In singles action,
Kim Willet (Suffield, CT/Suffield) fought hard against Nicole Portner in second flight but lost in straight sets 6-3, 6-4.
Beth Feldman (Sloansville, NY/Cobleskill-Richmondville) made her season debut at fifth singles and fell to Lisa Tessitore 6-1, 6-2.
Hartwick will play RPI this Wednesday at home at 4 p.m.
