ONEONTA, NY – On Tuesday, Hartwick women's tennis seniors
Michaela Finnegan (Cumberland, ME/Greely) at
Kristen Napolitano (Mt. Sinai, NY/Mt. Sinai),
Steph Luce (Saratoga Springs, NY/Saratoga Springs),
Lauren Noyes (Rochester, NY/Churchville-Chili) and
Nicole Schepisi (Rensselaer, NY/Columbia) were honored for their career at Hartwick, but the visiting Ithaca College Bombers would take the match 8-1.
The Hawks nearly came away with a win in doubles with a close match in the third flight. Finnegan and Luce would ultimately fall, 9-7 to Kelly Fishback and Maddie Overholt.
Noyes improved to 5-4 on the season with the Hawks lone victory at sixth singles. She won by a count of 6-4, 1-6, 10-4.
Kelly Napolitano (Mt. Sinai, NY/Mt. Sinai) would grab six games off her opponent in third singles. She dropped the match 6-3, 6-3.
The Hawks close out their season with a 5-6 record and a 3-5 mark in the Empire 8 Conference.
Napolitano ends her career at 'Wick with 22 singles victories and 20 doubles wins. Schepisi registered 18 victories in singles play and another 12 in doubles. Noyes notched 15 wins in doubles and 10 in singles in her career. Finnegan also secured 10 doubles wins.
