HILTON HEAD, SC – Liam Brown (Suffield, CT/Suffield) secured a singles win but the Hartwick men's tennis team fell by an 8-1 margin on Friday in the Hawks' Hilton Head finale.

Brown won a decision over Franklin's Luke Snyder at third singles. Brown took the match by a final count of 6-4, 6-2.

Ross Braue (Canastota, NY/Canastota) won six games, 6-3, 6-3, to Franklin's Neal Herzog in sixth singles. Jefferson Monastoque (Heredia, Costa Rica/Blue Valley) and Will Gilbraith (West Monroe, NY/Paul V. Moore) each won four games in singles action.

Brian Redder (Marion, NY/Williamson) and Gilbraith won four games in fourth doubles. Brown and Monastoque won three.

The Hawks return to New York and play at Elmira on April 1 at 4 p.m.
