PINE VALLEY, NY - Elmira College (5-1, 4-1 E8) proved to be too much defeating the Hartwick women's tennis today, 8-1. The Hawks drop to 3-4 overall and 2-4 in conference play.

The power of Elmira was on display early during doubles competition.
Kristen Napolitano (Mt. Sinai, NY/Mt. Sinai) and
Kelly Napolitano (Mt. Sinai, NY/Mt. Sinai) fought hard at second doubles dropping the decision 8-5.

It looked like the Soaring Eagles were going to sweep the competition this afternoon until senior
Lauren Noyes (Rochester, NY/Churchville-Chili) evened the score at 5th singles, 3-6, 6-3. The match was decided at the end of the second set when her opponent retired.

The Hawks look to right the ship this week against a conference foe, Utica College, on Wednesday.
