ITHACA, NY – The Hartwick Hawks (8-3, 5-2) were defeated by the Ithaca Bombers today. The Bombers proved to be too much for the Hawks on the afternoon winning convincingly, 9-0.
With injuries to two of the Hawks, today's line-up featured junior
Sam Dow (Schererville, IN/Lake Central), who teamed up with
Caitlin O'Brien (Glenville, NY/Burnt Hills Ballston Lake) at third doubles. Freshman
Sofie Brennan (Clifton Park, NY/Shenendehowa) stepped into the sixth singles spot against Jodi Grosberg.
The Hawks look to bounce back against Nazareth College
this Saturday at home in a conference match with important playoff implications.
