LEWISBURG, PA – Hartwick's water polo team fell to Harvard on Sunday in a CWPA Conference battle, 11-6. The Hawks are now 8-12 overall and 3-2 in the conference.
The Hawks were behind 3-2 in the second quarter but a 5-1 differential handed the Crimson an 8-3 lead at halftime. The lead was extended to six after three quarters, 10-4, before settling on the 11-6 result.
Katie McKenty (Auckland, New Zealand) led the Hawks with three goals on the day.
Blanca Anton Cuesta (Madrid, Spain),
Natalie May (Huntington Beach, CA), and
Zsofia Polak (Dunaujvaros, Hungary) each scored once for the Hawks.
Hartwick returns to the pool next weekend in Bloomington, IN when it plays against the Hoosiers and the University of Michigan on Saturday, March 7. The Hawks wrap play against UC Irvine on Sunday.
