TEMPE, AZ – Hartwick water polo wrapped up its Arizona trip with a 14-2 defeat at the hands of #8 Arizona State on Saturday at Mona Plummer Aquatics Center in Tempe, AZ.
           
Blanca Anton Cuesta (Madrid, Spain) and Lara Dendy Young (Cape Town, South Africa) each scored for Hartwick.
           
The Sun Devils opened with a 7-0 lead in the first half before Anton Cuesta got the Hawks on the board at 4:08 of the third quarter. ASU grabbed an 11-1 lead in the fourth before Dendy Young tallied with 5:15 left in the contest.
           
The Sun Devils tacked on two more goals for the final 14-2 score line.
           
Hartwick returns home with a 2-3 mark in Arizona, which includes a win over the #15 ranked team in the nation.
           
The Hawks next play at Brown on April 4. They play Conn College and the host Bears on the date.
