MORRISVILLE, NY –
Hartwick equestrian finished in eighth place on Sunday at the Morrisville State Show. The Hawks had one first-place, three second-place, and four third-place rides on the day.
Lexi Jahnke (Milford, NY/Milford Central) won the Hawks' lone blue ribbon. She took first place in Beginner Walk Trot Canter.
Daryl Orend (Owego, NY/Owego Free Academy) secured a pair of red ribbons. She took second in Intermediate Fences and Intermediate Flat.
Victoria Vitolo (Stanfordville, NY/Rhinebeck) took second in Advanced Walk Trot Center.
Kelsey Prest (Northfield, MA/Pioneer Valley Regional) placed third in Advanced Walk Trot Center.
Emily Coscomb (Boonville, NY/Adirondack) and
Tayler Stukey (Schenectady, NY/Schalmont) were both third in Walk Trot.
Taylor Bookhout (Schenevus, NY/Schenevus) was third in Novice Fences. She pointed out in the classification and qualified for the regional show next spring.
The Hawks next compete on November 19 at the Skidmore College Show.
