CAMBRIDGE, MA – The No. 11 Hartwick water polo team was defeated No. 17 Wagner by a final score of 9-8 on Sunday at the Harvard Invite in Cambridge, MA. The Seahawks avenge a 13-5 defeat to the Hawks on February 6 with the win.
Zsofia Polak (Dunaujvaros, Hungary/Rudas HS) registered four goals and an assist for the Hawks in the contest. She also had three steals.
Nikolina Mihajlovik (Mississauga, ONT/Silverthorn Collegiate Inst.) contributed a pair of tallies.
Brittany Tait (Kariong, Australia/Harry Kendall HS) and
Katie McKenty (Auckland, New Zealand/Takapuna Grammar School) each added a goal and an assist.
Maria Moya (Madrid, Spain/Ortega Y Gasset) chipped in an assist.
Michaela Davies (Cronulla, Australia/Kirawee) made 12 saves in the Hawks' goal. She would also add one steal and an assist.
Hartwick (9-5) next plays on Thursday in Hayward, CA against Cal State East Bay beginning at 5 p.m.
