ELMIRA, NY – Hartwick's men's tennis lost to Elmira 9-0 on Sunday in Empire 8 Conference play. 'Wick falls to 2-8 overall and 1-6 in the Empire 8. The Soaring Eagles improve to 9-8 and 3-3 in the league.
           
Heidi Rice (Canandaigua, NY/Marcus Whitman) and Rose Natoli (Endwell, NY/Maine-Endwell) won four games at third doubles against their opponents, Patrick Tracey and Jordan Curtis. The Hartwick duo fell by a final count of 8-4.
           
Rice also played a close match at number four singles. She fell 6-4, 6-4 to Chris Konow. John Talbot (Middlesex, NY/Marcus Whitman) also gave his Elmira counterpart a match at number two singles. Talbot would drop a 6-4, 6-3 decision to Austin Mansell.
           
The Hawks play on Tuesday, April 26 at SUNY Oneonta. Match time begins at 4 p.m.
