DELHI, NY – The Hartwick Hawks (0-3, 0-2) dropped a decision today by the score of 9-0 to the Cardinals of St. John Fisher College (5-5, 1-1). The match was played inside at SUNY Delhi due to inclement weather. The Hawks remain winless on the season as St. John Fisher picks up its first conference win of the year.
Junior
Ross Braue (Canastota, NY/Canastota) played the closest match today against the Cardinals in both singles and doubles. He dropped a 6-2, 6-2 decision to Adam Moran at fifth singles. He also teamed up with senior
Liam Brown (Suffield, CT/Suffield) at second doubles with a score of 8-4, losing to Moran and John Miller.
The Hawks are back on the court
tomorrow against the Nazareth College Golden Flyers. The match is also being played at SUNY Delhi for this next Empire 8 showdown at
1 p.m.
