ONEONTA, NY – The Hartwick women's tennis team fell to Stevens by a score of 7-2 Saturday afternoon at Hartwick Courts. The setback becomes the Hawks' fourth in conference, 3-4, as the team stands at 5-5 on the year. The Ducks improve to 6-1 and 5-1 in league play.
The Hawks' no. 2 doubles representatives,
Kelly Napolitano (Mt. Sinai, NY/Mt. Sinai) and

Stevens collected points at sixth, fifth and third singles for the eventual match win.
Heidi Rice's (Canandaigua, NY/Marcus Whitman) first flight win, 3-6, 6-4, 10-4, as the fourth singles showing to finish, awarded the host their only other point on the afternoon.
Hartwick pauses Empire 8 competition as it travels to Newburgh, NY, Thursday, October 5 for a match against Mount Saint Mary College.
