AZUSA/REDLANDS, CA – Nineteenth-ranked Hartwick swept a pair against Azusa Pacific and Redlands on Wednesday to improve to 13-6 on the year. The Hawks opened with a 12-8 victory over the Cougars and finished off the day with a 17-11 victory over the Bulldogs. Hartwick has now won three straight games.
Tori Wilson (Kitchener, ONT / Grand River Collegiate Institute) registered a season-high six goals against Azusa for the Hawks.
Lena Kotanchyan (Moscow, Russia / Elk Island School #368) and
Nikolina Mihajlovik (Mississauga, ONT / Silverthorn Collegiate Inst.) each scored a pair of goals for 'Wick.
Wilson scored twice in the opening quarter as the Hawks led 2-1 after eight minutes. Mihajlovik,
Zsofia Polak (Dunaujvaros, Hungary / Rudas HS), and Wilson scored consecutive goals in the second quarter as the Hawks took a 5-2 advantage. The Cougars scored with one second left in the half to pull within two and they made it a 5-4 game early in the third.
Wilson scored her fourth of the game to extend the margin to two, but APU came back with three unanswered tallies to take the lead, 7-6. Wilson then netted two straight goals 1:02 apart to put the Hawks in front to stay.
The two teams traded goals in the first 2:19 of the fourth quarter with Kotanchyan registering the Hartwick tally. Kotanchyan, Mihajlovik, and
L.J. Edwards (Encinitas, CA / Cathedral Catholic HS) each registered goals in the final 3:55 of action to put the game away.
Polak would close the match with a game-high four assists.
Charlotte Cottle (Blakehurst, Australia / Presbyterian Ladies College) contributed two helpers.
Josette Santos (Huntington Beach, CA/Edison HS) got the win in goal. She ended the game with eight saves.
In the Hawks' second game against Redlands, 10 different players made it into the scoring column in the victory. Kotanchyan led all players with five goals. She also contributed a pair of assists. Wilson, Cottle, and Edwards each chipped in with a pair of goals.

Edra Colbeck (Seattle, WA / Roosevelt HS) contributed two helpers apiece.
Sabrina Hartwell (Ann Arbor, MI / Skyline HS) played all 32 minutes in goal. She completed the game with four saves.
Hartwick plays another pair of matches tomorrow against Concordia and #16 Long Beach State.
