ONEONTA, NY – The Hartwick men's tennis team fell 9-0 to local rival Oneonta in non-conference action Monday afternoon at Dr. Heissan '63 Tennis Courts. The Hawks are now 1-8 on the season while the Red Dragons improve to 9-12.
John Talbot (Middlesex, NY/Marcus Whitman) and
Krishna Patel (Brunswick, ME/Pine Tree Academy) put up two points at No. 1 doubles, the most of by any Hawks' duo on the afternoon, falling 8-2.
Nick Adamou (New Milford, CT/New Milford) at third singles and
Ross Braue (Canastota, NY/Canastota) at fourth put up two points between them, both in the first set, falling 6-1, 6-0.
At the top flight, Talbot managed to post three points through two sets before falling, 6-2, 6-1.
Tomorrow, the Hawks return to Hartwick Courts for a match against SUNY Delhi. Play begins at 4 p.m.
