Recap: Alexa DuBois (Hobart, NY/South Kortright) scored the only goal of the game as Hartwick defeated Nazareth in a big Empire 8 Conference win Sunday in Rochester. The Hawks earn a split on a key Empire 8 weekend doubleheader as a result. DuBois tallied in the 62^nd minute. She had an initial shot that was stopped by Nazareth keeper Hannah Miller, but the rebound came right back to DuBois, who put it in the back of the net for the game's only goal. DuBois had five of the Hawks' 11 shots on the day, with three on target. Maggie Rogers (Wharton, NJ/Morris Hills) and Shannon Lauko (Baldwinsville, NY/C.W. Baker) each had two shots for the Hawks. Nazareth outs-shot the Hartwick 15-11, but 'Wick withstood an 11-6 shot advantage by the hosts in the second half to preserve the victory. Cassandra Robataille (Amsterdam, NY/Amsterdam) earned her sixth clean sheet of the season. She stopped nine shots in the contest.
