                     New Rochelle, NY – Nationally thirteenth ranked Hartwick was in action tonight against Iona College at the Hynes Center Pool in New Rochelle, NY Friday. 'Wick beat the Gaels 20-15 to open their five game road trip this weekend.
          
The Hawks outscored the Gaels 13-6 in the first half. The Gaels would outscore Wick' over the next two quarters but the hawks lead proved too large to overcome. The Hawks would go on to win by five points.
 
Lena Kotanchyan (Moscow, Russia / Elk Island School) scored an impressive seven goals and six steals against the Gaels to lead the Hawks scoring in tonight's game. 
Zsofia Polak (Dunaujvaros, Hungary / Rudas) scored five goals on the night and had the second most points for the Hawks. 
L.J. Edwards (Encinitas, CA / Cathedral Catholic) scored a trio of goals in the winning effort. 
Katie McKenty (Auckland, New Zealand / Takapuna Grammar School) and 
Tori Wilson (Kitchener, ON / Grand River Collegiate Institute) each had a pair of goals against the Gaels. 
Charlotte Cottle (Sydney, Australia / Presbyterian Ladies College) scored a lone goal to round out scoring for the Hawks. 
         
Hartwick will be in action tomorrow for a pair of games against No.12 Wagner College at 11 a.m. in Staten Island, NY and St. Francis College Brooklyn at 2 p.m. in Brooklyn, NY.
