Oneonta, NY - Nationally thirteenth ranked Hartwick was in action tonight at home in Moyer Pool. 'Wick defeated Brown University 15-9 and improved to a record of 16-3 on the season. This is the first time in program history that the Hawks have gone 16-3 through their first 19 games.
Brown jumped out to a narrow 3-2 lead after the first period. The second period proved to be decisive for 'Wick as they outscored the Bears 6-2 and led by three goals at the half. The Hawks continued their barrage of goals in the third period outscoring Brown again 4-1. In the fourth the Bears were only able to match the Hawks goal for goal. 'Wick would go on to win by six goals and improved to 41-5 all time against the Bears.
Lena Kotanchyan (Moscow, Russia / Elk Island School) led the Hawks in scoring with six goals on the night.
Zsofia Polak (Dunaujvaros, Hungary / Rudas) was a close second with five goals.
Lauren Brennan (Canberra, Australia / St. Clares College),
Tori Wilson (Kitchener, ONT / Grand River Collegiate Institute),
Katie McKenty (Auckland, New Zealand / Takapuna Grammar School), and
Charlotte Cottle (Sydney, Australia / Presbyterian Ladies College) each scored a lone goal to round out scoring for 'Wick.

The Hawks will be in action tomorrow at home in Moyer Pool against No. 9 Michigan University at 10 a.m. in their annual code blue event.
