                     Claremont, CA - Nationally twelfth ranked Hartwick was in action today for a pair of games at Claremont-Mudd-Scripps College and Pomona-Pitzer. The Hawks defeated CMS 16-7 in their first match and Pomona-Pitzer 10-8 in their second. The Hawks are now 23-5 on the season.
In the first game, the Hawks decisively outscored the Athenas in all four periods. At the half, 'Wick led 10-2 and they would go on to win by nine goals.
 
L.J. Edwards (Encinitas, CA / Cathedral Catholic H.S.) led the Hawks in scoring with four goals. 
Tori Wilson (Kitchener, ON / Grand River Collegiate Institute) scored three times. 
Lena Kotanchyan (Moscow, Russia / Elk Island School), 
Nikolina Mihajlovik (Mississauga, ON / Silverthorn Collegiate Institute), and 
Katie McKenty (Auckland, New Zealand / Takapuna Grammar School) each had a pair of goals. 
Madison Germuska (Encinitas, CA / La Costa Canyon H.S.), 
Becca Lelles (Boulder City, NV / Boulder City H.S.), and 
Lauren Brennan (Canberra, Australia / St. Clares College) each had a lone tally. 
Josette Santos (Huntington Beach, CA / Edison H.S.) had six saves in goal and 
Emma Aleksandrovic (Belgrade, Serbia / Medicine School of Zvezdara) had another five saves.
 
In the second game, the Sagehens outscored 'Wick in each of the first two periods and held a 6-4 lead at the half. In the third period, the Hawks shutout the Sagehens 3-0 and outscored them in the fourth period 3-2 for the 10-8 win.
 
Kotanchyan and Wilson would lead the Hawks in scoring with four goals apiece. McKenty and Brennan each scored a lone goal to round out scoring for 'Wick in their second game. 
Hannah Edwards (Encinitas, CA / Cathedral Catholic H.S.) had nine saves in goal against the Sagehens.
The Hawks will be in action on March 29
th for a pair of games against Concordia University (California) at 1:30 p.m. and Brown University 7:30 p.m.
