ROCHESTER, NY – The Empire 8 has announced that 69 Hartwick Hawks are among 816 student-athletes from the league's nine full-time member and 14 affiliate institutions recognized on the Spring 2018 President's List.
President's List recipients must earn a 3.75 grade point average or higher while participating in a conference-sponsored sport. In addition, the student-athlete must display positive conduct on and off campus and be enrolled full-time at the member institution.
Eight Hartwick athletic teams were also acknowledged as Empire 8 All-Academic Teams for registering grade-point averages of 3.2 or higher for the semester. The Hawks' women's soccer team topped the list with a team grade-point average of 3.54.
Hartwick's women's cross country (3.44), field hockey (3.41), women's tennis (3.40), men's soccer (3.36), volleyball (3.36), water polo (3.31), and men's cross country (3.27) teams were among the record 122 teams within the Empire 8 recognized with the award.
