Box Score FLUSHING MEADOWS, NY – The Women's Tennis team was back at it with their first spring match of the season against Pratt Institute, and the Hawks came out with the 5-4 win.  Hartwick kept their great season going, moving to 10-3 overall with a few matches left to play.
 
The Hawks enjoyed a 2-1 lead after doubles play wrapped up, thanks to Ryann Ashby and Val Kohberger teaming up for an 8-5 win at 2^nd doubles.  Colleen Marsh and Jess Sexton won 3^rd doubles 8-2 for Hartwick's other point.  Victoria Wilson and Jade Killikelly were narrowly defeated 7-8 (8-10) in their 1^st doubles play.
 
Hartwick earned victories in singles play from Colleen Marsh (6-4, 6-3 3^rd singles), Jess Sexton (6-4, 2-6, 7-6(4) 5^th singles), and Val Kohberger (6-1, 6-1 6^th singles).  Killikelly (2-6, 4-6), Ashby (3-6, 7-6(1), 8-10), and Wilson (2-6, 1-6) dropped their 1^st, 2^nd, and 4^th singles matches, respectively. 
 
Hartwick will turn right around and play again tomorrow, stopping at Mount Saint Mary on the way home.  The afternoon match is scheduled for a noon start.
