CLINTON, N.Y. – The Hartwick Women's Cross Country team hit the road to Hamilton College, participating in a 5k race at the Hamilton Invitational.

Hartwick prepared to run in their first 5k race, coming off a 6k race at SUNY Fredonia last weekend.

Brynita Haas (Red Creek, N.Y.) kicked off the day for the Hawks with a personal best, coming in with a finishing mark of 20 minutes and 56 seconds.

Julia Weinschreider (Williamson, N.Y.) has kept up her stellar pace so far this season,Weinschreider clocked in with a personal best of 21 minutes and 38 seconds.

Maddy Smith (Oneonta, N.Y.) followed Weinschreider closely, finishing her race 21 seconds behind her fellow Hawk with a time of 21 minutes and 59 seconds.

Giovanna Wall (West Hurley, N.Y.) turned in a solid result, coming off her first full course race last weekend. Wall clocked in with a time of 23 minutes and 37 seconds.

Addison Shank (Emmaus, Pa.) capped off the day for Hartwick, crossing the finish line with a time of 24 minutes and 52 seconds.

COMMENTS FROM HEAD COACH NATE CREWS
"Women had a substantially better showing this weekend. Three women ran personal best in the 5k with solid performances from the other three ladies.Bryn Haas ran a 48 second personal best, followed by Weinschreider running 42 seconds faster than her high school personal best. Wall was our 4th athlete across the line running nearly three minutes faster than her marks from 2022."
