HOUGHTON, N.Y. – The Hartwick Track and Field program completed the final day of the Empire 8 Indoor Championships, hosted by Houghton University.

MEN'S RECAP

The Hawks began their afternoon with the 200 meter, Patrick Conteh (Salisbury, Md.) was the lone Hawk, clocking in at 23.61 seconds.

Marquis Jones-McKinney (Astoria, N.Y.) scored 1.73 in the high jump to wrap up the field events for Hartwick.

The 4x400 relay capped off the day for the men as Conteh, Jones-McKinney, Hans Higgins (Buffalo, N.Y.) and Joe Catalano (Chester, N.Y.) combined for a time of three minutes and thirty seven seconds.

The Men wrapped up the Empire 8 Indoor Championships with an overall sixth place finish.
WOMEN'S RECAP

Hartwick started Day two of the championships with Stephanie Cohen (Westtown, N.Y.) placing fifth in the 60 meter hurdle finals with a time of 9.97 seconds.

Pepita Graham (Schenectady, N.Y.) placed fifth in the 60 meter final, crossing the finish line in 8.27 seconds for a strong start to the day for the Hawks.

Graham followed up with a top ten finish in the 200 meter, clocking in at 27.65 seconds.

Destiny Carter (Rensselaer, N.Y.) completed the 200 meter in 29.06 seconds.

Brynita Haas (Red Creek, N.Y.) represented Hartwick in the 3000 meter race with a finishing mark of eleven minutes and 54 seconds.

The 4x400 relay marked the last event of the Empire 8 Indoor Championships as Cohen, Carter, Giovanna Wall (West Hurley, N.Y.) and Atti Dinsmore (Burkburnett, Tex.) combined for a time of four minutes and twenty seven seconds.
