ONEONTA, NY -The Hartwick football program placed three Hawks on the Empire 8 All-Conference list—its highest total since 2022—as announced by the conference coaches.
The Hawks delivered a strong 2025 campaign, doubling their win total from a season ago and showcasing significant improvement across all phases, signaling a promising trajectory for the Blue and White.
Kyle Trinkle (Monroe, N.Y.) headlined Hartwick's honorees, earning a spot on the Empire 8 Second Team—his first career all-conference selection. Trinkle was a steady offensive catalyst throughout the season, recording 36 receptions for 444 yards and two touchdowns, all single-season career highs.
Brennan McNeilly (Lindenhurst, N.Y.) and Austin Cummings (Pavilion, N.Y.) completed the trio of honorees with Third Team selections. McNeilly anchored the defensive front with a breakout year, finishing with 50 tackles, 10 tackles for loss, and four sacks. He also made a notable impact on special teams, blocking two extra points against Buffalo State en route to earning Empire 8 Special Teams Player of the Week honors.
Cummings proved to be a cornerstone of the offensive line, helping guide Hartwick to its most productive offensive season in more than a decade. His consistency and physical presence were instrumental in the Hawks' success both on the ground and through the air.
