Hartwick Trio Secures NFHCA All-Region Recognition

ONEONTA, N.Y. — Three members of the Hartwick field hockey program have earned spots on the National Field Hockey Coaches Association (NFHCA) All-Region list: Hope Angioletti, Katelyn Klotz, and Ava Reynolds. All three receive the honor for the first time in their impressive careers.

Hope Angioletti (Hopewell Junction, N.Y.), a two-time Empire 8 First Team selection, delivered another standout season in the midfield. She led the conference with 11 assists, added eight goals, and totaled 27 points, earning an Empire 8 Offensive Player of the Week nod. Nationally, Angioletti ranked 10th in Division III with a 0.69 assists-per-game average. Angioletti was named to the NFHCA All-Region First Team for her incredible efforts.

Katelyn Klotz (South Glens Falls, N.Y.), the Empire 8 Defensive Player of the Year, put together a dominant junior campaign. A force on both ends of the field, she posted a career-high 16 goals, added five assists, and led the team with 37 points. Klotz also collected her first Empire 8 First Team selection and an Empire 8 Defensive Player of the Week honor. Klotz landed on the NFHCA All-Region First Team after her breakout season.

Ava Reynolds (South Glens Falls, N.Y.), the Empire 8 Goalkeeper of the Year, was outstanding in the cage. The sophomore led the conference with an 84% save percentage, including an impressive 87% mark in league play with four shutouts. She finished second in the conference in both total saves and goals-against average (1.41), while ranking 11th nationally in save percentage.
