ONEONTA, N.Y. - The Hartwick Hawks Field Hockey program placed nine student-athletes on the 2025 National Field Hockey Coaches Association (NFHCA) Division III National Academic Squad.

To earn the prestigious honor, undergraduate student-athletes must achieve a cumulative GPA of 3.50 or higher during the fall semester. More than 1,800 student-athletes from 147 institutions were named to the 2025 Division III National Academic Squad.

Leading the selections were NFHCA All-Region honorees Hope Angioletti (Hopewell Junction, N.Y.) and Ava Reynolds (South Glens Falls, N.Y.), who added another accolade to their standout seasons.
Natalie O'Malley (Pleasantville, N.Y.) and Makayla Bales (Sidney, N.Y.) who each earned their first Empire 8 All-Conference honor earlier this year, secured yet another academic feat. O'Malley made her third consecutive appearance on the Academic Squad, while Bales secured her second career academic recognition.

Tessa Cox (Poughkeepsie, N.Y.), Dani Hand (Queensbury, N.Y.), and Erica Leeson (Auburn, N.Y.) also returned to the Academic Squad, having earned recognition in every season they have competed. Hand and Leeson collected their third consecutive NFHCA academic honors, while Cox picked up her second in as many years.

First-years Audrey McDonnell (Herkimer, N.Y.) and Talia Salon (Mahopac, N.Y.) earned their first career selections to the NFHCA Academic Squad, rounding out a strong academic showing for the Blue and White.
