PITTSFORD, N.Y.- The Hartwick Men's Lacrosse Team looks to avenge their regular season loss against the nationally ranked St. John Fisher Cardinals, looking to upset the No.1 seed in the Empire 8 Semifinal Round on Thursday, May 1st at 7 PM at St. John Fisher University.
The Series: These two teams have faced off against each other 26 times in program history with the Cardinals leading the charge at 20 wins. Hartwick will look to flip the tides, hoping to secure win number seven on Thursday.
Key Stats for Hartwick (9-6): The Hartwick Hawks Men's Lacrosse team looks to find a way to keep their season alive after defeating SUNY Brockport in a 12-11 instant classic. Sophomore Defensive Midfielder, Harry Rubin (Portland, Me.) got the first goal of the day to get the Hawks on the board. Senior Midfielders, Garrett Frost (Wading-River, N.Y.) and Tyler Nocito (Mahopac, N.Y.), as well as Sophomore midfielders Spencer Hogaboom (Poughkeepsie, N.Y.) and Luke Ward (Attleboro, Mass.) all recorded 2 goals apiece in Tuesday's matchup against the Golden Eagles. Junior and Freshman attackmen, Colin August (Garrison, N.Y.) and Mason Adams (Delmar, N.Y.) each netted one. Sophomore Goalie, Kaiden Johnson (Wakefield, Mass.) had 14 saves and went 56% against the Golden Eagles.
