ONEONTA, NY - Hartwick junior Kim Post (Nashua, NH/N. Middlesex Reg.) won her singles match and combined with Jennifer Lin (Albany, NY/Colonie) for a doubles victory on Saturday, but the Hawks fell to Nazareth by a final count of 7-2. The Golden Flyers improve to 1-2 overall and 1-1- in conference matches. The Hawks drop to 0-4.

Post improved to 2-2 on the year with a 6-3, 6-4 win over Naz's Abbey Goings in fourth singles play. In second doubles, Post and Lin downed the Golden Flyer duo of Alexandra Vizgaitis and Kelly Noble 8-6. The Hartwick pair is now 3-1 on the season.

'Wick's Christina Sorrentino (Sherrill, NY/VVS) and Lauren Michels (Clinton, NY/Clinton) each held 1-0 leads in their matches but Nazareth comebacks denied them victories. Sorrentino led after a 6-4 win in the first set against Elizabeth Way. Way would come back for a 6-1 second-set win and she would close out the match in the race to 10 points in the third tie-breaking set. Michels rolled past Sherrita Wilkins in the first set of the sixth singles match only to have Wilkins take set number two, 6-3, and the tie-breaker 10-7.

Hartwick plays at Elmira tomorrow at 1 p.m.
