Kelsey Kimble (Dingmans Ferry, PA/Delaware Valley) scored twice and assisted on a third goal as the Hartwick field hockey took visiting Nazareth to overtime but was denied victory as the Golden Flyers won 4-3 on Saturday afternoon at Wright Stadium. With the loss, Hartwick falls to 6-9 overall and 3-3 in the Empire 8. Nazareth improves to 6-10 overall and 2-5 in the Empire 8.
Kailee O'Hara scored for Nazareth in the 13
th minute of play to give the Golden Flyers the 1-0 lead. The Hawks would answer back as Kimble would score from the left corner of the cage and tie the game at one.

nd minute, Kimble shot a pass in front of the goal that Golden Flyer goalkeeper Shannon Winney challenged and was knocked out of position while
Meghan Sweeney (Foxboro, MA/Foxboro) collected the loose ball and shot into the open box to give the Hawks the lead, 2-1.
In the second half, Nazareth would score back-to-back goals within four minutes of each other to take a 3-2 lead in the 45th minute. Kimble's second goal of the game with under 23 minutes remaining in the game would tie the game at three each. Neither team would have shot for the rest of the half as the contest headed into sudden-death overtime.
In the extra frame, Nazareth controlled the offensive end and had four shots to none for the Hawks. Naz's Cathy Stahl hit a penalty corner that was centered in front of the goal. Lindsey Smith passed to Stahl whose shot slipped past Hartwick goalkeeper
Megan Campbell (Rutland, MA/Wachusett Regional and into the goal for the win.
The Golden Flyers finished the game with a 13-5 advantage in shots and 16-7 in penalty corners.
Campbell started in goal for Hartwick and stopped eight shots. Winney had one save for the Golden Flyers.
Kimble's two goals ties her with Nicole Fish for sixth place on Hartwick's all-time goals list. With her five points on the day, she moves into seventh place on the all-time points list.
Hartwick is now in a three-way tie for third-place in the Empire 8 with Utica and Washington and Jefferson. The Hawks will next face #14 ranked Skidmore on Wednesday afternoon at 3:30 p.m.
